The Adjustment

The Adjustment are a roots-rock quartet of long-time musical friends built around the singer-songwriting team of Lance and Dave of 'Cusack' fame.

Mark Smith and Matt McGain on bass and drums respectively have played as a rythm section for some years (in Essex pub rockers 'The Dogs') whilst Dave and Lance ploughed on as a duo under the 'Cusack' banner.

After coming together as an impromptu 'party' band playing Dylan, Stones and Creedence tunes - The Adjustment's mission was to retain the sense of fun and sponteneity of those early gigs in everything they do.
These four tracks recorded live in the rehearsal room, then overdubbed with what musicians the World over know as 'twiddly bits', are their latest attempt to capture that vibe. It is no coincidence that these are some of the first songs written by Lance and Dave as a team, rather than their usual solo songwriting efforts - written with a mind to reflect those Stones/Dylan/Creedence stylings.
